About

Freddie White
Rostrevor Folk Club at Crawfords
Monday 20 February at 8pm

'Those trademark sharp-toothed guitar licks... smoky, languid voice... there's still
nobody to match White at his best.'
Irish Times

'Freddie White shows again that class is permanent...'
The Mail on Sunday

"The sparse and haunting 'Live on Tour' is still among the greatest Irish albums of all time.
Irish Times

The Rostrevor Folk Club at Crawfords is delighted to welcome back the legendary Freddie White, one of the most important Irish artists in rock or folk. Born in Cobh, Co Cork, he was playing professionally by 17. He spent years in London developing his unique voice and guitar style. His earliest recordings are still hugely popular among his loyal fan base. In 1978 he toured with Eric Clapton.

In 2004, Freddie White returned to Ireland after many years living in the USA and released Four Days in May, with some of Ireland's finest musicians. Since then he has toured regularly and released several highly acclaimed albums, including 'Stormy Lullaby', 'Here With You' and 'Prodigal Songs'.
