Sacred Site of Killeavy, Samhain Tour

3 Church Road, Killeavy, Newry, County Armagh, BT35 8LF
holy well

About

We will celebrate the Celtic festival of Samhain, the end of the harvest, where it was a tradition to visit holy wells.

Ann will share stories on the history of the ancient sites of Killeavy, founded by St Moninne in the 5th Century. You will experience the deep silence and palpable sense of peace within this special monastic site, followed by a visit to the pre-Christian well, dedicated to Moninne.

Breathe in the spectacular panoramic view of the Ring of Gullion, now part of a UNESCO Global Geopark. We will celebrate our sacred journey with a tea ceremony of organic apple/cinnamon and shortbread from a local bakery.
