Meet the Winemaker

About

Kit Weaver, son of Sophia Berquist, is the third generation of owners pioneering Quinta de la Rosa, Portugal.

Quinta de la Rosa has been in the family since 1906, with 55 hectares under vine in the rolling Douro Valley hills near Pinhão.

We are delighted to welcome Kit to Killeavy Castle Estate on Friday 7th March, to take you on a journey through the Douro Valley with complimentary flavours of Quinta de la Rosa wines and dishes from our award-winning Gullion at Killeavy.

From 6.30pm – 9pm, guests will enjoy a drinks reception, followed by a five-course menu with accompanying pairings of Quinta de la Rosa wines, and a deep dive into the story and methods used to bring their unique flavours to life.
