Blog (December 2023) - Visit Mourne Mountains

The region encompassing the Mourne Mountains, the Ring of Gullion and Strangford Lough is essentially an expansive outdoor adventure playground. Few destinations rival the sheer enjoyment of outdoor activities, making it an ideal spot for family fun that your children are bound to adore.  And better still you can enjoy it on a budget!

Facilitated through the education programme a group of 12 children aged 6-11 completed the John Muir Award (Discovery level). The children involved were dedicated to fulfilling the main four objectives, Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share.
